SRI Labs strives to always push the boundaries of what’s possible in high visibility safety product development. At the same time, we’re compliance-first in our designs. We work closely with certification organizations and third-party test labs to ensure that the safety solutions we offer not only exceed customer expectations, but compliance standards as well.

Safety regulations are wide-ranging and complex, and there is an alphabet soup of organizations involved in establishing safe workplaces. As part of our mission to make people more visible, SRI Labs ensures our advanced solutions are future-ready while helping our customers navigate the complexities of regulatory compliance and certification.

Through closely following industry changes – or more often, leading them – we’re able to provide optimal technical guidance. With our advanced facilities, and extensive material, fabric and test library, SRI Labs is the industry expert ensuring each solution joining fabric and reflective material achieves regulatory compliance and the performance and visibility needs of each customer.

American National Standards Institute

ANSI oversees the development of voluntary consensus standards for products, services, processes, systems, and personnel in the United States.

  • Accredits standards developing organizations
  • Coordinates U.S. standards with international standards
  • Promotes the use of U.S. standards internationally

The Berry Amendment

Berry Amendment compliance ensures that certain goods acquired by the U.S. Department of Defense are produced in the United States.

  • Applies to textiles, clothing, and food items
  • Requires 100% U.S. origin for specified products
  • Supports domestic manufacturing & national security

Oeko-Tex®

OEKO-TEX® is a global association of independent textile research and testing institutes that provides certifications for textile products.

  • Standard 100 certification for harmful substances testing
  • STeP certification for sustainable textile production
  • Made in Green label for traceable, sustainable textiles

Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals

REACH is a European Union regulation that addresses the production and use of chemical substances and their potential impacts on human health and the environment.

  • Requires registration of chemical substances
  • Evaluates substances of concern
  • Authorizes or restricts the use of certain chemicals

ISO 20471

ISO 20471 is a European standard that specifies requirements for high-visibility clothing to provide visual signaling of the user’s presence.

  • Defines minimum areas of fluorescent and reflective materials
  • Specifies performance requirements for visibility materials
  • Categorizes garments into three classes based on visibility level

UL Solutions

UL Solutions is a global safety certification company that helps companies demonstrate safety, security, and sustainability.

  • Provides product testing and certification
  • Offers advisory and risk management services
  • Standards for safety-critical components & systems

National Fire Protection Association

NFPA is a global nonprofit organization devoted to eliminating death, injury, property, and economic loss due to fire, electrical, and related hazards.

  • Develops & maintains fire prevention & safety standards
  • Provides public education on fire safety
  • Offers professional development and training programs

Canadian Standards Association

CSA tests, inspects, and certifies products in Canada, the US, Europe and worldwide for safety, compliance, and global market access.

  • Ensuring products meet critical safety requirements
  •  Global certification solutions boost user confidence
  • CSA marks are widely accepted by government and code officials, regulatory bodies and retailers

International Safety Equipment Association

ISEA is a recognized leader in the development of ANSI-accredited safety equipment standards, in the U.S. and around the world.
  • ISEA consensus standards establish a baseline of product performance for safety equipment
  • ISEA standards help protect over 125 million workers in the U.S., in product categories such as high visibility apparel
  • Ensures safety products are better, conforming, understandable, and used
